Mike Jackson (aka MJ Illustrations) has been creating award winning illustrations and designs since the early 1990s. Later joined Dan Goffredo, they form a team that works together to meet their client's needs while providing quality artwork. Whether you're looking for new design concepts, custom designed characters, or someone who works well with existing or licensed characters, we can meet your needs.
My career began at a very young age drawing on the TV screen to help a character called "Winky-Dink" out of precarious situations. I didn't understand that you first needed to buy a kit with a transparent screen cover before using crayons directly on the screen.
Many years later after graduating from the Art Center College of Design, I began to work in-house for a prominent poster company until I ventured out on my own. I have now been working as a freelance illustrator for over 30 years. Originally starting out with traditional airbrush, then surviving the changeover to digital art, I have been fortunate with the many projects that have found their way to me through the years.
In between projects my passion for fine art fills my time.
I started working with Mike in the late 90's as his bookkeeper and part time artist assistant aside from my job at abc Television.
As a new wave of digitally created illustration quickly swept over the industry, we both learned to use multiple software programs to produce artwork. Mike's forté aligns with Adobe Photoshop, and mine with Adobe Illustrator, though on a daily basis we both easily use the software interchangeably.
25 years later we are still working together as a team to make quality art that always meets with the client's approval.
When I'm not at the computer, I am generally outdoors photographing the incredible landscapes of the American Southwest.
